The main plot in SoF II involves a new terrorist organization that has developed a deadly virus, and is threatening to use it on the innocent unless terms are met. The military and governments of the world may have plans, but you've been paid to get results. It's up to you and your team to save the world from Hoof & Mouth and Ebola Black Tar Heroin. While the team doesn't want to reveal too much about the plot at this point, the sequel will see the return of John Mullin, Madeline Taylor and Sam Gladstone from the first game, and a progression of the story-based gameplay of the first SoF featuring even more surprises and twists. Environments will be even more interactive than before, with certain sections of the game putting you in helicopters, trucks, and other vehicles, manning a mounted weapon and fending off foes. While you won't be able to drive vehicles in the game, you'll have a fair amount of other people's expensive toys to destroy as you progress through the game. Some of the new locations you'll be exploring on foot, chopper, and tire are Prague, Colombia, Hong Kong and Kamchatka. The sequel also departs from the original by actually becoming more realistic, rather than vice versa. Kenn Hoekstra, Project Administrator on SoF2, made sure that we knew that all weapons in the sequel will be "real-world based, and specific to the region of the world you're operating in." Russian Soldiers will carry accurate weapons straight from the Jane's guides, says Hoekstra, and while you won't see brand names like Colt, you'll see official military designations for the weapons, such as the M1911 A1. This also means no Microwave Guns, for those of you that thought military battles still consisted of shrink rays and Theremin blasters. You can expect 14 different weapons, and 10 different grenade types total in the game, including the M4 rifle with the M203 grenade (think Dutch in Predator). There will be 10 missions in all, with 5-10 levels in each, in such exotic locations as Columbia, Jordan, Hong Kong, and Kamchatka. We met the real-life John Mullins at the Activision booth, and he told us that four of the missions in the final game were loosely based on actual operations that he was involved with. For example, one of the missions in SoF2 will have you going into Russia to extract a Russian scientist, which John actually did.

Blitzkrieg means "lightening war". Blitzkrieg was a German tactic used in World War Two based on speed and surprise and needed a military force to be based around light tank units supported by planes and infantry (foot soldiers). The tactic was developed in Germany by an army officer called Hans Guderian. He had written a military pamphlet called "Achtung Panzer" which got into the hands of Hitler. As a tactic it was used to devastating effect in the first years of World War Two and resulted in the British and French armies being pushed back in just a few weeks to the beaches of Dunkirk and the Russian army being devastated in the attack on Russia in June 1941.

Uber Europe is a clan on the game SOF II. We are sick of all the other clans so we try make a new TOPclan. [UE] whit the colors yellow blue. we are in sort of german style. We like nice and good SOF II players (we really hate cheaters!) to join. Ask on our server to the leaders (UberDutch) for a try-out. if you pass the try-out you can join ;).
